Some business owners and managers are hoping by banning together they can influence the way residents think about where they shop and where they spend their money.
“It’s letting residents know that they can make a difference,” said Alex Quintana, owner of Quintana’s Barber & Dream Spa.
If local and independent businesses do not support each other, maybe no one else will, he said.
The idea was prompted when Jeff Milchen from the American Independent Business Alliance spoke at a recent Future Heights event. Representatives from several local businesses attended the workshop.
