It looks like enough heat (Or in this case, electricity) was put on the folks in Columbus. FirstEnergy was just told that they have to put the discounts back in place for all-electric homes.
I just wrote about this. About 100,000 homeowners are affected by this. And now they're happy.

PUCO voted unanimously to direct FirstEnergy to file tariffs that will return customers' charges to those that were in effect as of Dec. 31, 2008. FirstEnergy last year eliminated special rates that it previously had promoted, leading to big increases in electric bills this winter for customers that heat with electricity.


Will my demand meter rate be reinstated?
