Dan Gilbert, the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is leading the charge for passage of State Issue 3, which would allow him and his partners to build casinos in four Ohio cities.
"We put a proposal together that we think is going to pass and meets the needs of most Ohioans at a time when it's needed most," Gilbert said, from the fifth floor offices at Quicken Loans Arena, where he directs his business enterprises.

In December 1999, Intuit Inc. (makers of TurboTax and Quicken) purchased Rock Financial. The national web operation was renamed "Quicken Loans" and grew substantially as the leading provider of direct-to-consumer home loans on the Internet, offering mortgages in all 50 states. Gilbert remained at the company as its CEO. In July 2002, just 30 months from the sale of Rock Financial, Gilbert led a small group of private investors and purchased the Quicken Loans subsidiary back from Intuit. He continues to serve as the chairman of Quicken Loans Inc., which now consists of Quicken Loans, Rock Financial, One Reverse Mortgage and national title insurance and escrow provider, Title Source.

Why do we need casino's, EVERY PLACE THAT HAS CASINOS IS A RAT HOLE.
Vegas has more housing and economic issues than anyone, Detriot do I really need to go there? what are you people thinking?? vote for a factory! vote for new jobs! Are people in Ohio going to spend the money they don't have on gambling?
I respect all of your opinions, but honestly it just isn't a good idea, i beg everyone to do research on vegas and detriot and see how their cities are.

I know Casino's don't bring in the best cliental but with GM on the brinks the most of Ohio's manufacturing shipped overseas, and with now DHL leaving this state is turning into a bunch of welfare receipts. I should know I just separated from service here in Ohio and the only places I'm getting phone calls for interviews is out of state now.
