From the "I'm surprised and shocked" file;
The U.S. Census Bureau will announce today that Cleveland lost nearly 10 percent of its population this decade, the fastest rate of decline of any major American city except New Orleans, which weathered a hurricane and is bouncing back.

So here is the deal. Due to a lot of reasons-including corruption, short sightedness, and corporate interests, people do not want to live in the city limits. They have abandoned the city for the serene beauty of the suburbs (ha!) while taking advantage of the roads and infrastructure of our town. Meanwhile, leadership refuses to make the bold moves necessary to make big change and continues to creep forward on even the smallest of issues (curbside recycling, for instance). Time to make some drastic improvements! I have few ideas which i wrote about in my own tirade the other day at www.greatlakesgreenpages.com. Would love to hear what you have to say about them.

Hi George,
Some of us, including you, have thrown some ideas around. We have discussed technology, social media, and energy related tpoics, but there just doesn't seem to be any takers to the ideas that are big enough.
Maybe everybody in NEO has resigned themselves to the fact that most of the politicians around here are old school, and they happen to like their power and positions in our local government a little too much to affect any real change.

I'd prefer to hear theories about what we're going to do next.
